Corporación Universitaria Lasallista was founded on May 26, 1982 by the Congregation of Christian Brothers, Lasallista District of Medellín and Lasallista Alumni Association –ALDEA-.
It began academic works at San José School on February 4, 1984. Then, on July 23, 2001 it was moved to a new campus in Caldas, Antioquia. Its physical characteristics allow it to be classified as a modern and futurist university campus, adapted to the academic requirements of this new millennium. It has three buildings of classrooms and auditoriums, a laboratories building, an administrative building, an oratory, parking lots, Casa Lasallista, a modern Library with original documents, books, magazines and collections in general and a Food Processing Development Plant with a complete infrastructure for the development of productive and academic activities, in the field of the processing, conservation and food transformation.
